This piece is among a six painting series depicting the interaction between figures and spheres within foregrounds featuring various megalithic monuments. Here an atypical arch composed of thirteen golden components (nine voussoirs, three obelisks, and a keystone) dominates the foreground. Its unusual upright bisects the arch at angles of 60/120 degrees, creating two chambers with one doubling the size of the other. A cache of spheres is stashed within one chamber representing the total of all possibilities in the limited world. This chamber is roofed by three voussoirs representing growth, synthesis, and fulfillment. Within the adjacent chamber reclines a figure cradling a solitary sphere representing renewal and perfection. This chamber is roofed by seven voussoirs (one being a keystone) representing completeness. The individual surveys peaceful pastures to contemplate a most unusual phenomenon. The nature of the reflected light upon the water suggests that illumination is the key to the source of all potentialities in existence. The radiant Sun dawning upon the curvature of the Earth signifies the glory of enlightenment on the horizon of those interested in mastering peace. After questioning the peculiarity of the signature on the lower left, in one masterful gesture this piece may be held vertical to a mirror at a right angle to further consider yet another dimension. Consequently doubling in size, the thirteen-component arch becomes a twenty-four-component symbol of peace. 'A picture tells a thousand words,' yet a symbol is a portal to realms. A full-scale monument of the same design may be set in water or on a polished surface and entitled Peace on Earth. Enjoy
