Language Art
"From
a point, I may move the universe!"
Archimedes
(a celebrated Sicilian genius)
Eureka, a soapbox gives one the
opportunity to make that point, for language is an art of expression.
Viewers at Cause Collection exhibits
are encouraged to turn this box on its side and speak their mind, making
this work 'a piece of mind.'
Here, one is welcome to express their
thoughts, feelings, and opinions on our Response-ability
page.
Become!
Come out! Come out!
I know you're in there.
I've seen that shadow in your eyes.
I know you're frightened of the spotlight
That attention might take you by surprise.
I know the feeling of rejection,
The one that makes you want to hide,
But you, too, can dissolve your prison
By expressing the truth you have inside.
Sister, Brother, I need you.
Stand forth! I'll give you a hand,
I'd be the first to agree with you
That it takes courage to take a stand.
But Brother, Sister, we need you
To stand forth and lend a hand.
We all need to contribute what we can to
Renew our culture, our promised land.
Come out! Come forth! Stand forth!
